Elizabeth Jane Hurley, an English model and actor who was known in the 1990s for being Hugh Grant's lover, was a former English model. As Grant's film Four Weddings and a Funeral made waves across the world, Hurley accompanied Grant to its Los Angeles premiere wearing a black Versace gown with gold safety pins. The outfit received immediate interest from the media. Her association to Estee Lauder has been the highlight of Hurley's career. Hurley was hired by Estee Laundry as their first model when she was 29. Since 1995, she's been used as a face for the company's products such as Sensuous Intuition and Pleasures. In the popular spy comedy films International Man of Mystery (1997) as well as Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me (1998), she was the character Vanessa Kensington. Hurley designs and models an eponymous line of beachwear. The combination of titillation and polished melodicism contributed to the fact that I Kissed a Girl become a number one hit in a variety of countries and drove the sales of her album One of the Boys (2008). Hot N Cold, Perry's energetic and vibrant album featuring the song that was its second biggest hit was a hit. The album which Perry composed herself sold more than three million copies.
