Niykee who's had a whirlwind few years including being selected by Snoop to sing with him at The YouTube Brandcast May 2013 Niykee keeps a steady songwriting schedule despite all this. The singer-songwriter is fascinated by Niykee. She always tries out new beats. They often inspire songs. She says that she can discern if a beat is great in only 5 minutes. And then, a brand new song may pop up in her mind. I sit on my back porch with my guitar and lyrics just come and usually it's all done in under 30 minutes. Niykee's experiences from her past provide an unending source of unexpected ideas. It's tough to forget the painful memories from my youth, especially the loss of my sister. They end up being integrated into her music. It shapes my songs and builds this deeper understanding behind all things that's one the most important things to me--I need to know that I could hear any of my songs 20 years from now and still feel proud of the things I said.
